Will a SON always triumph over a DAUGHTER in every age??

"Tum ladki ho, tumhe yeh nahi karna chhaiye, wo ladka hai wo aisa kar skata hai"

This is a most common line heard by every Indian girl. We all are just educated with loads of degrees on papers but we are actually not learned. I have seen some girls who have always been burdened for being a girl. Even in a educated family it would be like that in small ways. I have some incidences to share.

Being a girl she always supported her father in everything, right form bill payment to small money affairs. But she was always treated as a girl. When a question of distributing the wealth raised everyone had to say that it should go to their son even after their daughter doing everything thing for them. 

If son is doing some cooking and forgets to add or garnish then it is daughters duty to complete and he is excused for it because he is son. But if same thing is done by daughter then its a grave mistake and she could be announced to hang till death for the same.

When a daughter has to say something then she is never heard but when son says the same thing he is praised for it. When a son is angry and shout and throws things and he is pampered for it because he is a son. But when a daughter is angry she has to just swallow her angry because she has no right to broadcast it.

When a daughter is of marriageable age she is a burden on father though she contributes for the house just like a son.When she has a love affair with someone it always has to be wrong as she is not intelligent to choose her husband. She is not even been asked for her choice for her life partner. 

There are many more such incidences where a Daughter is always being discriminated against a SON.

This is how we have brought sex equality only restricted on papers and not real life. It is always or many a times the daughter who never wants to send her parents to old age homes. It is the daughter who takes care of her parents more. Then why is it that SON is always being preferred and favored in every way even in educated families. How long will this continue? Aren't we all responsible to eradicate this difference in our society? 

In Indian society the question will always remains "Will a SON triumph over a DAUGHTER in every age?

These days I strongly feel that though keeping up with growing technology I still see some generation gap with respect to thought line with new generations. This generation is real lucky with respect to all technology but what they have not grasped is accepting rejection in any sort, whether the rejection is about getting something from parent or rejection for love proposal. Life is a show and whatever come, however broken you are the show must go on. Life should and will go on. At times Life hits you in every god damn way.
